The eGov Cluster facilitates Collaborative Projects to identify and develop new solutions to real-world public sector challenges. In so doing it fulfills an ‘expert, honest-broker’ role helping agencies identify what might be possible in improving business outcomes.
Collaborative Projects involve representatives from agencies; industry and research. Participation in a project is generally at the representative’s own expense. These projects aim to find; and develop to the point of proven feasibility; new technologies in areas of the greatest challenge in public administration. In so doing the eGov Cluster seeks to de-risk and so facilitate its uptake.
Depending on the nature of projects, funding is provided by the eGov Cluster in partnership with beneficiaries of the projects (e.g. Government agencies) and it can be in cash and/or in-kind.
